Delivery options
Your item’s shipping method and price are confirmed in the shipping calculator and at checkout. Here is what each delivery path means.
Items weighing 149 lb or less ship by ground parcel rather than freight.
Your equipment is palletized and protected. The freight carrier schedules delivery, then uses a liftgate to lower it to your curb or driveway. Moving it inside and unpacking it are up to you.
When selected and available for your address, the delivery team brings the equipment into the room, assembles and tests it, then removes the packaging.
For commercial builds and multi-pallet orders, a dedicated trailer keeps the full order together in one delivery. We confirm the unloading plan before the truck ships.
Change your mind within 30 days of delivery and you can return the machine or exchange it for a different size, color or configuration.
Return shipping is the customer's responsibility and a 15% restocking fee applies to preference returns and exchanges. Freight items must go back packaged to the same standard they arrived in. We will tell you exactly what that means before anything is collected.
Anything that arrives damaged or fails under warranty is handled separately and carries no restocking fee. Full terms are in our Returns, Exchange & Refund Policy.
Coverage and accessories have to go on the same booking as the machine. Add them here and they travel together.

I was thinking about getting Ozempic, but I’m not in the mood to go blind yet. So I decided I’d do it the old fashioned way and called CTX.

CTX stands by their products. I recently purchased a Precor elliptical from them & it arrived with a mechanical flaw. They coordinated with a technician to get my product fixed like new. They accomplished this despite the fact that my home was two states away. Special thank you to Nichole for staying accessible and attentive throughout the process!

Every machine we sell as remanufactured goes through the same process, whatever the brand or the price. Not a wipe-down and a price tag.
Assessed frame to console, then taken apart and checked part by part. Nothing gets judged from the outside.
Every moving and touched component, from belts and cables to bearings, bushings and grips, is evaluated and rebuilt or replaced, then the machine gets a full cosmetic restoration.
Electronics bench-tested, frames and welds checked, panels refinished, then reassembled to the manufacturer's specification.
A full operational cycle under load before it ships. Anything that fails the final check goes back through service, not onto a truck.

Quick answer: The Precor AMT 835 is a self-powered adaptive motion trainer, so it needs no outlet and can sit anywhere on the floor. Open Stride lets your stride change freely between walking, running, and climbing, and the P30 button console keeps it simple, all on a 445 lb commercial frame in a 74 x 28 inch footprint. Condition: remanufactured, meaning taken apart, rebuilt, and tested before it ships (not sold as-is used), with a 1-year parts and labor warranty and nationwide delivery.
The Precor AMT-12 835 Adaptive Motion Trainer delivers Open Stride user-defined stride length for seamless transitions between walking, running, and climbing, self-powered operation for flexible placement, low-impact full-body engagement, and P30 console - 445 lb commercial frame, 74"×28" footprint. The AMT is a fundamentally different machine category from an elliptical: an elliptical constrains the foot to a fixed oval arc determined by the machine's crank geometry, and any stride length adjustment on an elliptical changes the arc size but still constrains the foot to a predetermined path. The AMT's Open Stride technology removes the path constraint entirely - the foot pedals move freely in response to how the user moves, not how the machine dictates. A short, quick stride pattern produces a running-like gait; a long, slow stride with high knee lift produces a stair-climbing gait; a mid-length stride at moderate cadence produces a walking gait - all on the same machine, selected by the user's natural movement pattern rather than a ramp setting or stride adjustment control. This means the AMT can train walking, running, and climbing biomechanics in a single session without stopping to reconfigure the machine. Self-powered operation generates its own electricity from user movement - no power cord or outlet required - which allows the AMT to be placed anywhere on the floor without routing power, a practical commercial advantage on large or reconfigured training floors. The 445 lb commercial frame is substantially heavier than the 340 lb EFX ellipticals, reflecting the more complex mechanical system required for unconstrained stride adaptation.
P30 console delivers essential workout metrics with clear, user-friendly interface. Low-impact joint-friendly design for sustained training across all stride patterns. 445 lb Precor AMT-12 835 commercial frame, 74"×28" footprint. Remanufactured.

1. What are the exact dimensions and space requirements for the Precor AMT-12 835?
The machine measures 74 inches long, 28 inches wide, and 69 inches tall, with a 14 sq ft footprint. Allowing extra clearance around the machine is suggested for safe and comfortable use.
2. How does the AMT-12 835 differ from standard ellipticals or other Precor machines?
Unlike ellipticals, the AMT-12 835 uses Open Stride technology, allowing the pedals to follow your natural movement without a fixed path. This lets you switch between walking, running, and stair climbing motions without stopping or adjusting settings.
3. What type of training does this machine support and which muscles does it target?
It supports walking, running, stair climbing, low-impact cardio, interval training, rehabilitation, and cross-training. Primary muscles targeted include glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, and hip flexors, with secondary emphasis on core stabilizers and adductors.
4. Is the AMT-12 835 self-powered or does it require an electrical outlet?
This trainer is self-powered and generates its own electricity from user movement, so it does not need to be plugged into an outlet.
5. What condition can I expect with a remanufactured AMT-12 835 from Build A Gym?
Remanufactured units are fully disassembled, cleaned, repaired, and tested in Texas, with worn parts replaced. Cosmetic marks from prior use may remain, but the machine is certified and ready for commercial use.
6. What delivery and assembly options are available for this machine?
You can choose Driveway Freight Delivery or Inside Delivery & Assembly at checkout. Stairs are quoted separately, and more details are available on the product page.
