Utility Upright Benches (4)
Life Fitness Utility Bench
Hammer Strength Upright Bench
A utility or upright bench is a fixed seat with a back pad set near vertical, made for seated dumbbell presses, curls, and accessory work. Options include the BUILT Strength Foundation Series Upright Bench and the remanufactured Hammer Strength Upright Bench, with Life Fitness and Precor units when in stock. Upright benches are a staple in dumbbell areas because they are quick to use and stable under heavy loads. They also save space next to a dumbbell rack.
Upright bench or adjustable bench?
An upright bench is fixed and very stable for seated presses. An adjustable bench covers more angles. Busy dumbbell areas often have both.
What exercises use an upright bench?
Seated dumbbell shoulder press, seated curls, overhead tricep extensions, and seated lateral raises.
