CTX stands by their products. I recently purchased a Precor elliptical from them & it arrived with a mechanical flaw. They coordinated with a technician to get my product fixed like new. They accomplished this despite the fact that my home was two states away. Special thank you to Nichole for staying accessible and attentive throughout the process!

Rebuilt in our Jarrell, TX shop

What remanufactured means here

Every machine we sell as remanufactured goes through the same process, whatever the brand or the price. Not a wipe-down and a price tag.

Inspected and stripped down

Assessed frame to console, then taken apart and checked part by part. Nothing gets judged from the outside.
Moving parts rebuilt or replaced

Every moving and touched component, from belts and cables to bearings, bushings and grips, is evaluated and rebuilt or replaced, then the machine gets a full cosmetic restoration.
Refinished and rebuilt to spec

Electronics bench-tested, frames and welds checked, panels refinished, then reassembled to the manufacturer's specification.
Tested under load

A full operational cycle under load before it ships. Anything that fails the final check goes back through service, not onto a truck.

Product details

Commercial-grade equipment, inspected and supported by warranty.

Quick answer: The Precor Discovery Series Outer Thigh is a remanufactured commercial selectorized abductor machine. You press the knees outward against pivoting outer-thigh pads loaded by a 200 lb shrouded weight stack, with an adjustable start position, a gas-assisted seat, and a reclined back pad. The frame measures 66 in. by 30 in. by 59 in. and weighs 544 lb.

The Precor Discovery Series Outer Thigh trains the hip abductors by pressing the knees outward against pivoting outer-thigh pads. An adjustable start position lets each user begin with the legs together or partly open.

Strong abductors stabilize the pelvis for squats, lunges and running, and the seated setup isolates them without balance getting in the way. A gas-assisted seat, reclined back pad and 200 lb shrouded stack make it a dependable glute-and-hip builder for commercial floors and serious home gyms.

Primary muscles targeted

Gluteus Medius Gluteus Minimus Tensor Fasciae Latae

Secondary muscles

Gluteus Maximus Piriformis

Key features

Adjustable start position

A range-of-motion lever sets where the pads start, so smaller and larger users both get a full arc.

Gas-assisted seat

The ratcheting seat adjusts with one lever, lining the hips up with the pad pivots.

Reclined back support

The angled back pad locks the torso in, keeping the work on the hips.

200 lb shrouded stack

Weight selection sits within reach of the seat, with 5 lb add-on weights for small jumps.

Sealed bearings

Sealed pivot bearings and ball-bearing pulleys keep the stroke smooth set after set.
