The Precor EFX 885 Total Body Elliptical with P80 Console delivers CrossRamp® 13°–40° automatic adjustable ramp, converging stride 21"–25", 20 resistance levels 18–720W, moving handlebars for total-body engagement, Muscle Monitor, contact HR on fixed handlebars plus telemetry, P80 15" LCD capacitive touchscreen with PVS personal viewing screen, wired internet connectivity, iPod/iPhone integration, and 9-language console — 348 lb commercial frame, 350 lb user capacity, 80"×32" footprint, 120V/15A required. The EFX 885 with P80 differs from the EFX 885 with P82 in console and ramp range: the P80 is Precor's internet-connected console with a wired Ethernet connection (not WiFi — a facility infrastructure consideration), a personal viewing screen (PVS) for entertainment content, and iPod/iPhone integration; the ramp on this P80 configuration runs 13°–40°, the same extended range as the EFX 865, versus the 10°–35° on the P82 version. The 40° maximum produces steeper posterior chain loading than the 35° ceiling on most other EFX models — at peak ramp angle the glutes and hamstrings are loaded through a more vertically oriented push arc that maximizes their contribution to each stride. The Muscle Monitor is a console feature that displays which muscle groups are being targeted at the current ramp setting — it gives users visual confirmation of how ramp angle changes the muscle emphasis, reinforcing the CrossRamp® training logic. The 18–720W resistance range is among the broadest in the EFX line, providing genuine low-end accessibility (18W at level 1) through high-intensity output (720W at level 20) calibrated to trained athletes. Contact HR on the fixed handlebars — the source specifies these are on the fixed rather than moving handlebars, providing accurate readings when the user grips the stationary bars.

Stride 21" at 13° ramp through 25" at 40° ramp. Step-up height 8" at lowest footplate position. 120-minute maximum workout time. 348 lb Precor EFX 885 commercial frame, 80"×32" footprint. Remanufactured.

CrossRamp® 13°–40° · Stride 21"–25" · Muscle Monitor
40° maximum ramp extends the climbing ceiling above the 35° limit on most EFX models — at peak angle the push arc becomes more vertical, maximizing glute and hamstring contribution per stride. Converging stride grows from 21" at 13° through 25" at 40°. Muscle Monitor displays which muscle groups are targeted at the current ramp setting, giving users visual confirmation of how ramp angle changes the loading emphasis — reinforcing the CrossRamp® training rationale in real time.
P80 15" PVS · Wired Ethernet · iPod/iPhone · 9 Languages
P80 15" LCD capacitive touchscreen with PVS personal viewing screen for entertainment content during training. Wired Ethernet internet connection — not WiFi compatible; confirm wired network access at the installation location if internet features are required. iPod/iPhone integrated. 9 console languages (Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish) for international facility use.
18–720W · Contact HR (Fixed) + Telemetry · Moving Handlebars
18–720W resistance range covers low-end rehabilitation-appropriate loads through competitive athlete conditioning intensity. Contact HR sensors on fixed handlebars — gripping the stationary bars for HR reading while the moving handlebars continue upper body engagement, or pausing arm movement for a sustained reading. Chest strap telemetry as a second HR monitoring path. Moving handlebars engage chest, back, shoulders, biceps, and triceps across all ramp angles.

1. How do total-body ellipticals engage the upper body?

Moving handles sync with pedals to work arms, shoulders, and core.

2. What power requirements exist?

Most total-body ellipticals are self generated, while others require a standard 110 V outlet. None require a 20 amp outlet.

3. How often should I lubricate the machine?

Apply a light silicone lubricant to moving components every 6 months.

4. What financing and warranty options apply?

Same financing as all other cardio; new units carry full OEM warranty, remanufactured include Build A Gym's 1 year guarantee. Extended warranties available at checkout.
