I was thinking about getting Ozempic, but I’m not in the mood to go blind yet. So I decided I’d do it the old fashioned way and called CTX.

CTX stands by their products. I recently purchased a Precor elliptical from them & it arrived with a mechanical flaw. They coordinated with a technician to get my product fixed like new. They accomplished this despite the fact that my home was two states away. Special thank you to Nichole for staying accessible and attentive throughout the process!

They truly know fitness equipment and how to create a space that looks amazing and functions at a high level. Whether you’re building a home gym or a full commercial facility, I highly recommend CTX Home Gyms. They made the entire experience easy, stress-free, and exceeded every expectation.

Dillon and his team outfitted my entire new gym. We worked together from the beginning stages. They had the same exact vision I had. They did everything possible to make our dream gym. And they did!!
The entire experience was amazing. I literally told them what I wanted and they made it even better. The Build line is amazing. I get compliments on it daily. From the stitching on the equipment to how smooth it is. I can not say enough good things about it. And the plate loaded build equipment is legit. I’m an equipment snob. I love finding the old pieces. But this stuff is even better. Pure quality and can stand some big weights!
We plan on opening a couple more gyms, and we are definitely usi

Rebuilt in our Jarrell, TX shop

What remanufactured means here

Every machine we sell as remanufactured goes through the same process, whatever the brand or the price. Not a wipe-down and a price tag.

  1. Inspected and stripped down

    Inspected and stripped down

Assessed frame to console, then taken apart and checked part by part. Nothing gets judged from the outside.

  2. Wear parts replaced

    Wear parts replaced

Belts, cables, bearings, bushings, grips and safety-critical hardware are replaced as standard, whether or not they still have life in them.

  3. Refinished and rebuilt to spec

    Refinished and rebuilt to spec

Electronics bench-tested, frames and welds checked, panels refinished, then reassembled to the manufacturer's specification.

  4. Tested under load

    Tested under load

A full operational cycle under load before it ships. Anything that fails the final check goes back through service, not onto a truck.

Product details

Commercial-grade equipment, inspected and supported by warranty.

The Precor Discovery Series Prone Leg Curl delivers selectorized prone hamstring isolation with ratcheting gas-assisted adjustments, open weight tower, add-on weight lever, oversized rubber handles, and 11-gauge fully welded steel construction - 200 lb stack, 497 lb commercial frame, 61"×48" footprint. The prone position is the mechanical distinction between prone and seated leg curl machines: lying face-down positions the hip in full extension throughout the curl, which places the rectus femoris (a quad muscle that crosses the hip) in a shortened position and reduces its ability to produce opposing torque against the hamstring curl. The consequence is that the prone position allows the hamstrings to produce more force earlier in the curl arc without competing against rectus femoris resistance - producing a purer hamstring isolation than seated leg curl machines where the hip is at 90° and the rectus femoris is at a more active length. Gas-assisted ratcheting adjustments are the comfort specification that matters most on a prone machine: the user is already in the prone position when they need to adjust the roller pad height, which means any adjustment that requires lifting body weight or reaching awkwardly behind the pad is genuinely inconvenient. Gas-assisted positioning allows the pad to move with light force against the gas cylinder, making adjustment practical in the prone position without interrupting the setup. The open weight tower eliminates blind-pin insertion - the user can see the selector pin position from the bench without craning their neck.

Add-on weight lever for sub-increment resistance changes. Smooth controlled resistance through the full hamstring curl arc. 497 lb Precor Discovery commercial frame, 200 lb stack, 61"×48" footprint. Remanufactured.

Biceps Femoris Semitendinosus Semimembranosus
Gastrocnemius Popliteus Sartorius

Prone Position - Purer Hamstring Isolation Than Seated
Lying face-down keeps the hip in full extension, placing the rectus femoris in a shortened position where it produces less opposing torque against the hamstring curl. At 90° hip flexion on a seated machine, the rectus femoris is at a more active length and resists the curl more directly. The prone position reduces this interference, allowing the hamstrings to produce more force through the curl arc with less competition - resulting in a purer hamstring isolation.
Gas-Assisted Ratcheting Adj. · Open Tower · Add-On Weight
Gas-assisted positioning allows roller pad adjustment with light force in the prone position - eliminating the need to lift body weight or reach awkwardly while lying face-down. Open weight tower provides clear sight lines to the selector pin without craning the neck, making blind-pin insertion unnecessary. Add-on weight lever enables sub-increment resistance loading for precise hamstring progression.

1. What are the exact dimensions and footprint of this Precor Discovery Series Prone Leg Curl?

This machine measures 61 inches long, 48 inches wide, and 59 inches high, with a 20 square foot footprint. You may want to allow extra clearance for user access and movement.

2. How much resistance does the weight stack provide and is there an option for smaller increments?

The selectorized weight stack provides up to 200 lb of resistance, and there is an add-on weight lever for making sub-increment adjustments.

3. What muscles does this machine primarily target and how does the prone position affect training?

This machine is designed for hamstring isolation, primarily targeting the biceps femoris, semitendinosus, and semimembranosus. The prone position allows for purer hamstring activation by reducing opposing torque from the rectus femoris.

4. How does this prone leg curl differ from a seated leg curl in the same series?

Unlike seated leg curls, the prone position keeps the hip in full extension, minimizing rectus femoris involvement and allowing the hamstrings to work more directly through the curl arc.

5. What condition should I expect when buying this remanufactured machine?

Remanufactured machines are fully disassembled, cleaned, repaired, and tested in our Texas shop. Cosmetic marks from previous use may remain, but all parts are quality checked and certified before shipping.

6. What delivery and assembly options are available for this machine?

You can choose Driveway Freight Delivery or Inside Delivery & Assembly at checkout. Stairs require a separate quote, and the shipping calculator on the product page will show your freight options.
