The Precor Discovery Series Back Extension trains the lower back seated, with a contoured back pad that the user presses rearward against the stack. The hips and legs are braced, so the spinal erectors drive the movement.

Training the low back seated and under a measured load is a controlled alternative to hyperextensions, and it suits users of every level. A single adjustment gets users started and a 160 lb stack with add-on weight lets them progress, making it a smart posterior-chain machine for commercial floors and serious home gyms.
